Orthodontics (Braces)

Traditional Braces

Tooth repositioning is often required to achieve functional and esthetic goals. Often times teeth will erupt in a misplaced pattern that can be treated with orthodontics. Traditional orthodontics involves the use of metal brackets and wires to use gradual forces to move teeth into an ideal alignment.

Invisalign is a form of orthodontic treatment using sequential clear plastic trays. These trays are customized to the patient’s teeth to allow for tooth movement over time. Invisalign’s biggest advantage is esthetics during treatment because there are no metal brackets or wires present. Invisalign may or may not be the best option of treatment for certain cases. Remember to ask your dentist if you are a good candidate for invisalign.
