Root Canal Therapy

Root canal therapy is performed to remove bacteria or a damaged nerve from the center of the tooth.  A root canal must be completed to relieve symptoms of pain or sensitivity by cleaning out nerve in the center of the tooth.  With the help of antibacterial solutions and sterilized instruments, the nerve(s) in the tooth are removed and the tooth is then restored.  The patient is given plenty of local anesthetic (“freezing”) to make this experience as comfortable as possible.
